Registration Information
Registration is open to all girls. Diversity and inclusion have been core values of Girl Scouts since its founding in 1912. Girl Scouts of Northern California and Girl Scouts of the USA value diversity in all its forms and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability, gender, marital status, familial status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identification, genetic information, public assistance, local human rights commission activity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.

REGISTRATION FEES:

Non-Girl Scout Fee:
All girls attending Novato Girl Scout Day Camp MUST be currently registered with Girl Scouts. If your daughter is not a registered Girl Scout for 2023-24, a $40 fee will be added to her day camp registration. Novato GS Day Camp staff will then enroll your daughter with Girl Scouts of Northern California (GSNorCal) or renew her expired Girl Scout membership.
Financial Aid:
Novato Girl Scouts Day Camp is an affordable option intended to be accessible to any girl who wants to attend. If registration fees are a family hardship, we offer scholarship opportunities. Qualification for financial aid is based upon the applicant's participation in the NUSD Free & Reduced Lunch Program or approval through the GSNorcal Financial Aid application. Please contact us if you would like to request scholarship information.
Camper Fee:
- $140 per registered Girl Scout
- $75 per camper of Unit Leaders working 3 or 4 full days
- $100 per camper of Unit Leaders/Staff working 5 full days
- $65 per tag/boy (must be accompanied by an adult)
- $65 per Program Aide (must be a registered Girl Scout)

REFUNDS:
WAIT LIST REFUNDS:
Campers promoted from the wait list will have two weeks in which to accept or decline their acceptance into camp. If the decline comes within two weeks, they will receive a full refund, including the non refundable deposit. If the decline comes after the two week period expires, then the non refundable deposit of $50.00 will be forfeited.
- There is a $50.00 non-refundable deposit.
- A partial refund (less the $50.00 to cover t-shirt, patch, and processing costs) will be made for cancellations received on or before June 1st. No refunds will be issued after June 1st. All refund requests must be made in writing to [email protected].

GRADE AND AGE ELIGIBILITY:
- Campers - entering 1st through 6th grades
- ANTs (Aides in Training) - entering 7th or 8th grade
- Aides - entering 8th grade through 1st year of college AND must have completed ANT training
- Tags - potty trained through entering K
- Boys - entering 1st through 6th grade
- Boy Aides - entering 8th grade, by special arrangement
LOTTERY:
The need for a lottery is determined annually after assessing the number of registered onsite adult volunteers and their availability. If after examining the staffing needs, the planning committee determines that the number of girls exceeds the number that can be accommodated by the registered staff, then camp spots will be assigned by a lottery. In the event of a lottery, campers within the Novato Service Unit will have priority over campers from outside Novato. The following campers are exempt from the lottery:
